Planning your new patient consultation

Your care journey begins with a 30-45 minute consultation with a physician. During this time, your doctor will review your medical history, learn about your family-building goals, and talk through which treatment options might be best based on the information shared. After your appointment, our team will reach out to you about next steps and timeline.

Getting Started FAQs

  • If you’ve been trying to conceive for a year without success, and you’re under the age of 35, or you’ve been trying to conceive for six months without success, and you’re over the age of 35, you should see a fertility specialist. You should also see a fertility specialist if you have known reproductive issues, such as endometriosis or polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

  • During your initial appointment, you and your partner, if applicable, will discuss your medical history with one of our fertility specialists. Then, we’ll conduct a physical examination and take blood and urine samples to try and understand what may be causing your fertility issues.

  • Choosing a fertility clinic is a highly personal decision. Factors to consider include location, physician expertise, success rates, availability, support services, and reviews. IVFMD, established in 1991, has helped build over 10,000 families and has an outstanding reputation for excellence.

  • A referral isn't required to meet with one of our fertility specialists. Feel free to contact us to schedule a new patient consultation.

  • Insurance coverage for fertility treatments depends on your specific plan. While fertility coverage isn't mandated by Florida law, it’s becoming a more common part of employee benefits packages. Before your new patient appointment, you should speak with your insurance provider to determine your exact coverage. IVFMD accepts most insurance plans and offers various financing options.
