An alternative to in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI), INVOCELL is a device that enables women to use their own bodies as incubators for fertilization, helping reduce treatment costs. Patients may experience some discomfort during implantation, but INVOCELL should not cause any pain while inside your body. The culture device itself is 1.5 inches wide and just over an inch tall. If you experience any discomfort, call your doctor.

According to INVOCELL, success rates typically are higher than that of IUI, which tends to be very cost-effective, and are lower than that of IVF, which tends to be more expensive.
INVOCELL was studied in a clinical trial involving 450 cycles, 421 of which resulted in embryo transfers. Of these transfers, about 1 in 4 resulted in a birth.It’s important to know that adverse pregnancy events, like miscarriage and pre-term births, were reported in the clinical study, as these were primarily related to the effectiveness of the device (live birth rate).
