Sabrina Gerkowicz, MD, FACOG, is double board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her special areas of interest include fertility preservation, evaluation and management of male and female infertility, functional hypothalamic amenorrhea, polycystic ovarian syndrome, congenital uterine anomalies, uterine fibroids, LGBTQ+ family building, third-party reproduction, and reproductive surgery.
Dr. Gerkowicz’s primary goal is to provide individualized and comprehensive care in a compassionate environment. She is focused on helping you achieve your treatment and health objectives using evidence-based methods. In addition to the medical components of care, she understands the emotional investment of couples undergoing fertility treatments and is committed to working as a team to optimize your care and ensure that you feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. Dr. Gerkowicz completed her undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis. She remained in the Midwest to attend medical school at the University of Illinois. Dr. Gerkowicz returned home to the South for her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout her training, Dr. Gerkowicz has been active in research, and has presented at several national scientific meetings and published in various peer-reviewed journals. She is also a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI), and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
Dr. Gerkowicz speaks Spanish and is grateful to serve the diverse South Florida community.
She is a Florida native and loves spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Gerkowicz enjoys traveling the world and spending time outdoors walking and hiking. Music, cultural events, fitness, reading, and sporting events also top her list of favorite pastimes.
