Adriana M . Ballestas was born in Barranquilla, Colombia where she attended an American School, making her fluent in both English and Spanish. Upon her high school graduation she lived in Germany for a year, where she had the opportunity to learn about different cultures and where her interest for service arouse. Her professional carrier started as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She continued her education as a Registered nurse, later pursuing a Bachelors and a Masters degree at Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated with Honors. She obtained a national certification with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Adriana worked in geriatrics for several years, which gave her ample experience in wound and diabetic care, amongst others. She was offered a position at IVFMD thirteen years ago and this is when her passion for reproductive endocrinology arouse. Since then, helping patients achieve their dream of becoming parents has been her professional goal. Having worked as a floor nurse, IVF coordinator, and on call nurse, has given her the tools to become an experienced practitioner, and have become valuable assets when guiding patients thru their fertility journey . Delivering high quality care to patients is one of her priorities.
She is dynamic, assertive, a team player, and carries a smile that can go a long way, specially for patients undergoing challenging situations.
Adriana spends her leisure time with her family who bring her the most happiness . She also enjoys exercise and sharing with longtime friends.
