Dr. Ellen Wood is board certified
in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology
and Infertility. She is a graduate of the University
of Pennsylvania and completed her medical
training and residency at Philadelphia
College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr.
Wood is a Voluntary Assistant Professor at the
University of Miami School of Medicine.
She graduated with distinction from her clinical
and research fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology
and Infertility from The Pennsylvania Hospital
and Thomas Jefferson Medical college in Philadelphia,
PA. Dr. Wood received the Philadelphia Area
Reproductive Endocrine Society Fellow Research
Award in both 1998 and 1999.
Before joining the South Florida Institute
for Reproductive Medicine, she served as an
Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology
and the director of Academic Services at MCP
Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA.
Her major research interests include in vitro
fertilization, congenital uterine anomalies
and advanced laproscopic and hysteroscopic
surgical techniques. She has published numerous
articles and co-authored multiple book chapters.
Dr. Wood has presented her research at both
national and international meetings.
Dr. Wood is a member of the American Society
for Reproductive Medicine and a fellow in
the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians
and Gynecologists.
